So Excited!
Oh yes, Chilstone are back at RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2017! As if we could stay away? Our stand 84 Hospital Way is being built and we couldn’t be more excited!
2016 Proud of People’s Choice Award
In 2016 we were so proud when the Meningitis Now Artisan Garden, designed by John Everiss, won the People’s Choice Award. It was an honor to work with the charity and help to highlight the amazing work they do both with families and to raise awareness of the disease.
A Stand With the Help of Our Friends – 84 Hospital Way
This year we are excited to have our own stand, designed by our talented friend Ali Dempster and his company Sandstone.
Ali Dempster designed and built our compact, but elegant stand to display the beauty and versatility of our stonework. The center piece, our Kew fountain operates with recycled rain water collected from the sedum roof of the specially designed garden house to economise on water usage and create a room within a garden tailored to each client’s needs.
Sandstone owner and designer Ali Dempster has been designing and creating beautiful landscapes across Kent and Sussex for the last 20 years, winning a Silver gilt award at the RHS Hampton Court Place flower show 2016.
This stand at 84 Hospital Way, just off Main Avenue, will feature some of Chilstone’s key pieces
Longleat Urn and Pedestal
Designed by William Kent and still on display at Longleat House, this large urn is a real statement piece that we have antiqued for RHS Chelsea 2017.
Popes Urn and pedestal
Famously painted blue and yellow by Sir Roy Strong in his Laskett Garden. We will display a weathered piece for RHS Chelsea 2017.
Not forgetting the detailed for a polished look with a pool surround and coping with engraving from our talented engraver Nigel Hartfield.
Beauty and Elegance
We are delighted that Good Morning Britain Presenter Charlotte Hawkins will be on our stand to help us unveil our beautiful new statue, Leda and the Swan.
A sleek piece, designed and created by Admir Sljivic, in Cornish sourced marble resign, inspired by a classical statue at Hever castle depicting the conception of Helen of Troy, daughter of the Greek God Zeus.
Charlotte is a patron for local Kent charity ellenor, supporting families with hospice care, we are proud to support them.
Speaking of Hever…
We have an exciting competition to win a stay at this impressive castle, once the home of Anne Boleyn. Watch this space!
