Our Platinum Range For a 70 Year Reign
Wednesday, May 11 , 2022
We are proud to introduce our Platinum range. We have created this selection of garden ornaments in honour of her Majesty the Queen . We started handmaking our fine cast stone back in the 1950’s on that famous day of Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation. We are pleased to celebrate seven decades of helping our customer create amazing gardens during this record breaking reign.
It started in the 1950’s
Way back when our business opened we had hope but no idea that we would still be here seven decades later. During that time we have hand crafted our garden ornaments and architectural stone for customers around the world. Her majesty has been on the throne throughout our whole company history and we wanted to make a tribute to her years of service.
Our business created classic ornaments from the very start, many are still best sellers today. Our business was started by Michael Dibben and he is pictured here in 1971. He started making timeless pieces, handmade to last. That hasn’t changed, although our staff don’t tend to sit in our pots anymore!
Featured in Famous Gardens
Over the decades we have been trusted to produce bespoke ornaments for some of the most famous gardens around the world. From twenty planters as a feature for Kensington Palace gardens as a tribute to Princess Diana, to Hever Castle.
We have even restored the urns along the roof of the iconic Temperate House at Kew during the 1980’s and they are still there today.
We’ve even supplied stone to Disney for the set of Artemis Fowl and to Netflix for The Crown. We highly value our trusted reputation, but we know that our all our customers are very important and we pride ourselves on good old fashioned customer service.
A New Range to Honour Seven Decades
With our heritage and experience we wanted to commemorate this Jubilee. We want to support the Queen’s Green Canopy campaign to leave a legacy of trees. Plants and trees bring such joy to so many and they are vital for our environment. It is well known that the Queen loves the countryside, so we have added suitable large planters to our platinum range. These planters have the depth to grow trees. Our large planters, available in a range of styles, can be made with or without bottoms. This flexibility allows customer to grow small ornamental trees, or larger trees that appear potted, but have the room to root into the ground.
We also realise that this is a special moment on history. No other monarch has reigned for so long and a new range of sundial plinths seemed a fitting tribute. Each one is named after three generations of female royals for our current Queen and the next generation, Elizabeth, Catherine, and little Princess Charlotte.
Finally, we have designed some new birdbaths to care for the wildlife in our gardens. Take a look at the whole range here. We can also engrave items on request to remember this time and make these ornaments extra special.
