Riverhill Himalayan Gardens, near Sevenoaks is crammed with some amazing plants. Planted by a family of passionate gardeners over generations for 150 years it is really worth a visit. The garden already featured a number of our handcrafted garden ornaments. We were delighted to be asked to supply coping for an old wall.
Protecting Walls and Adding Style
Our cast stone coping was installed to protect the brickwork for an existing retaining wall in the garden, which was wall was dismantled and rebuilt. Chilstone supplied over 80 metres of coping and string course for the restored wall. Coping channels water away from the brickwork. It also has the added benefit of creating a finished, stylish look.
Adding Colour With Planted Urns
A large number of Chilstone urns have been set along the top of the smooth coping. This makes a smart focal point that can planted with blooms throughout the seasons. The wall is now a beautiful feature. The coping will extend the lifespan of the wall and add scope for additional planting which will transform the wall from a boundary into an extra special part of the garden.
